How much does it cost?

Our weekly fees depend on individual needs. These are based on a pre-admission assessment.

What is included in the fees?

Our fees include everything required to keep you comfortable, well cared for and safe:

  • Private bedroom
  • Heating and lighting
  • Call bell system with door, infra red, floor and chair alarms if required
  • Meals and available snacks
  • Drinks and refreshments
  • Laundry
  • Qualified staff to offer care and support with daily living
  • Use of communal lounges/gardens and facilities

Our weekly fees do not include:

  • Newspapers and periodicals
  • Purchase of new clothes and toiletries
  • Visits to the hairdresser or chiropodist   
  • Dry cleaning
  • Non-prescription medication
Do you accept Local Authority rates?

Yes, we are registered with a number of Local Authorities. Depending on the Local Authority there may be a need for an third party ‘top-up’ payment.

Do I need my own money?

Yes, our residents need to have money available that will cover additional costs.

What happens if our funds run out?

Our usual expectation is that you have sufficient funds available to pay our fees for up to two years. If your funds run out after that, the Local Authority would normally pay for your care. We would not expect you to leave our home.

Can we keep our own GP?

Yes, providing your existing GP is prepared to continue looking after you. We do however, have a dedicated GP practice enabling continuity of care.

Can I take my relative out?

Certainly. We acknowledge as people we all need a change of scenery. Currently with the pandemic we are encouraging our residents to shield however any resident who leaves will be risk assessed and possibly asked to self isolate.  

What are your visiting hours?

We are following Public Health England guidance. When open a booking system will be in operation. This enables us to ensure safety of our residents, staff and visitors. We do hope to be back to normal visiting as soon as possible.  

What activities do you provide?

Activities range from quizzes, knitting, arts and crafts, bingo and other group games. We try to encourage involvement however, all residents have the choice to take part. For those who are less able or prefer their own company we provide personal activities.

Do you provide hairdressing and chiropody?

The hairdresser visits weekly and the chiropodist six-weekly.

Is there a choice of food and do you cater for special diets?

Your personal food choices and dietary needs are tailored and documented.

We can cater for specific dietary needs, including soft or puréed, diabetic and allergenic such as celiac disease.

Can we bring our own furniture?

Our rooms cover all the basic needs for storage and comfort, however we encourage residents to bring their own furniture to personalise their room making it their “home”.

Can we bring photos?

We encourage you to bring in as many photos as you like to make your room your home.

Can we bring our pet?

You’re more than welcome to bring your pet to live with you subject to assessment.
